HOW MEDICAL CANNABIS WORKS IN FLORIDA
Under Florida law (Amendment 2 / Senate Bill 8A), patients must be evaluated and certified by a qualified medical marijuana physician who is registered with the OMMU. If eligible, patients are entered into the state registry and receive a medical marijuana card issued by the Florida Department of Health.
With this card, patients may legally purchase cannabis-based products from licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTCs) in Florida.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR MEDICAL CANNABIS APPOINTMENT
A thorough review of your medical history and symptoms
In-person consultation for first-time visits, or telehealth for follow-ups with known patients
If qualified, entry into the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR)
Assistance with submitting your application to the Florida Department of Health

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER APPROVAL?
Once our physician enters you into the MMUR, you will:
Receive an email from the Florida Department of Health with a secure link to apply for your ID card
Submit a photo, proof of residency, and a $75 fee to the State
Once approved, receive your Medical Marijuana Use Registry Card in the mail
Use your card at any licensed MMTC in Florida
